HEY GUYS,
Soo .. today I was just reflecting on what things have changed since coming back from Ghana and  decided to update my blog (surprise surprise).

Since coming back from Ghana I had work, took a spontaneous trip with my sister and cousin, and now I'm back at uni.

I am very grateful that Share Think and Act provided this opportunity to me so first of all THANK YOU (Hey Mo, Michael, Drew, Dr McMillan and the rest of the team that made it possible).
I am so thankful that I was able to take part in this programme as I was able to build on my knowledge about the Africa diaspora.

It allowed me to learn about my insecurities and take steps towards dealing with them, I learned things that I never knew about myself by being outside of my comfort zone and although it felt slightly awkward at the time I'm happy that I completed all the things that I set out to do.

One of the most important things this programme allowed me to do was to meet and speak to new people from different backgrounds, I am happy to say that I believe I made a few great friends on this trip. Being a British born Ghanaian I had a few misconceptions about the born and bred Ghanaians before coming for some reason but I soon realised that none of them were true. It was weird the way I merged easily with the Ghanaian group, it was as if I had known them for a long time.

Since coming back this trip has made me more compassionate and more willing to help others.
Through the people that I have met and become close friends with it has also taught me that you should not judge a book by its cover as you'll probably turn out to be wrong. Anyways I'm off, I'll be trying to pop back and give another update. BYE Y'ALL!

(Excuse me for any typos ... I'm mega tired!)
