A Short Introduction!
My name is Cassandra (Kassie for short), I am a 19 year old Integrated Science student at the University of Bradford. My degree course choice was based upon my passion for helping others as this course gives me transferable skills to apply in a range of career paths, such as allowing me to play a part in the design and preparation of medicine. This to me is crucial in helping to enrich the quality of lives for other people by adding vital assistance in the research of medicine that will help to cure many, such as cancer.

Having embarked upon the voluntary trip to Madagascar and it's teaching project with Share, Think & Act it has made me more empathetic and compassionate towards others. The experience changed the way I interacted with people in general as a result of the development of my communication and interpersonal skills. This is why I am ever so grateful for this opportunity to further my skills base on this trip to Ghana, where I can gain relevant experience. I looking forward to the trip to Ghana as that is where my parents originated from, so I am familiar with language and culture in a way that I wouldn't have been when going to Madagascar. I am also looking forward to meeting new people.
